Este performance tiene como referente El rapto de las mulatas (1938) del pintor cubano Carlos Enríquez. Muestra a una mujer luchando contra un bloqueo de hombres que intentan mantenerla cautiva. La mujer lucha con todas sus fuerzas hasta que logra liberarse y escapar. Yo, una mujer mulata mestiza negra, soy el resultado de la violación y el asesinato de mis ancestras durante la esclavitud en Cuba. Mi piel, ahora más clara, contiene esta realidad. Mi postura ante esta pintura es de desacuerdo con la forma en que se nos representa allí. El escenario de mi performance busca una manera metafórica de liberarme de los estereotipos en los que los hombres blancos intentan encasillarme a mí y a otras mujeres.

This performance has as referent El rapto de las mulatas (1938) of cuban painter Carlos Enríquez. It shows a black woman fighting with a blockade of white men whom try to keep her in captivity. The woman fights with all her body until manages to release herself and run away. I, a black mixed race mulata woman, am a result of violation and murder of my ancestral women during the slavery period in Cuba. My lighter black skin contains this inside. My position to this painting is of disagrement on how we are represent there. The scape on my performance seeks for a metaphorical way to release myself from the stereotypes that white men are trying to place me and other women in.
